The KHS Track team is preparing to begin their season very soon, and they are getting ready for the challenges ahead. With teamwork, dedication, and commitment from some of their top athletes, the team is ready for a successful start to the season.

Head coach Laura Chegwidden states, “I feel this season we will be very competitive and successful. Both the girls’ and boys’ sides have a solid group of athletes. We have a strong senior class to lead the team and a very promising underclass group to support the team. We are very excited to see what the season holds!

Looking forward to the spring season, she states, “One tradition I always look forward to is the team Easter egg hunt! We have large numbers this year, but like most seasons, we will be competitive.”

She’s most excited, however, for how the team will perform at states this year: “Each year, Kinnelon Track and Field proves to always be in the mix at the championship meets.”
