Mrs. Van Der Sluys has been an English teacher and newspaper adviser for eight years. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in English education, grades 7-12. When she’s not attempting to get her students to love reading and writing as much as she does, she can be found curled up with a good book, binge-watching Netflix with her husband, hosting themed dinner parties, or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen.
