Joseph R. Biden jr. has been elected president of the United States after Pennsylvania’s 20 votes put him over the 270 electoral votes needed to be elected. President-elect Biden makes history as the oldest elected president of the United States, as well as the candidate with the largest amount of votes received in U.S. history. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris makes history as the first female, first Black person, and first Asian-American to be elected to her office.
