A beautiful basket filled with little, meaningful gifts can be a lot more significant than one big/expensive gift not knowing if the person receiving it will like it. “I think that a burr basket is a cute present idea because it shows that the person giving it to you really knows you. It feels more personal than a basic and overpriced gift,” says senior Isabella DiLorenzo.
Making a burr basket does not require having to be in a relationship. It can be a great gift for friends and family as well. “For Secret Santa this year I am making a burr basket for one of my best friends,” said sophomore Alex DeAngelo.
While burr baskets are mainly focused on December, it is also a great idea for presents for many other occasions: Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and even for loved one’s birthdays. “For Halloween, I made my girlfriend a boo basket which is similar to the idea of a burr basket. She loved it! I plan on making her a burr basket for her Christmas gift this year,” says senior Ryan Geng.
This gift idea shows the effort put into loved ones’ presents. This personal touch makes the present so much more memorable. This is a perfect idea to spread joy and showcase to your loved ones how much you care. It is a flawless choice when deciding what to get your favorite people for this holiday season.
