Singer and Songwriter Zach Bryan and Barstool Sports personality Brianna LaPaglia, also known as “Brianna Chickenfry”, announced their breakup on Oct. 22 on Bryan’s Instagram story. After being together for over a year, LaPaglia went on her Instagram story saying she felt “really blindsided.” She then continues to say how she is going to take a break from social media. Later on, LaPaglia would reveal multiple stories about Bryan and their relationship.
A few days after the breakup and LaPaglia’s social media break, she would then go onto TikTok and YouTube to explain everything that went wrong in their relationship.
Before LaPaglia went onto the BFFs Podcast, where she co-hosts, to talk about the relationship, she made a short video on her own YouTube channel, Plan Bri Uncut, titled “Love you guys, I’ll be back soon.” In the nearly four-minute video, LaPaglia says how she woke up to a bunch of text about his story and said she had no idea.
LaPaglia says, “I’m like completely blindsided[…] How can you give someone everything and like love them so conditionally through stuff like that […] This is so embarrassing[…] You give every ounce of yourself to someone and then like be discarded in a few days.”
LaPaglia returned from her social media break on the BFFs Podcast. During the podcast, she explained how Bryan’s team offered her 12 million dollars to stay silent, and she refused the money.
LaPaglia explains in the podcast all about Bryan and how he emotionally abused her and her friends throughout the course of their relationship.
Before LaPaglia begins to explain their relationship, she states how she is still scared of him, and she is still scared to make him mad, but she did not take the money because “it’s not just for me. It’s for anyone else that’s been emotionally abused.”
LaPaglia goes on to explain that their relationship was a “crazy cycle” with him lashing out at her then apologizing and begging her to forgive him. She also gave viewers an example of Bryan’s behavior. LaPaglia explains how when she left her birthday party to go to bed, Bryan ended the night by yelling at her friends.
Before the podcast aired, her co-hosts Josh Richards and Dave Portnoy made a “diss track” about LaPaglia’s former boyfriend. It got backlash with people calling it immature. LaPaglia’s response was, “If people want to say the diss track was immature, me talking about [Bryan] was immature, you know what’s immature? The way you treated me. Everything you did was immature,” she says, addressing Bryan.
Shortly after the podcast episode aired, LaPaglia made a video on her TikTok account addressing comments people have made about her.
Many people who watched the podcast episode accused LaPaglia of getting paid by Dave Portnoy, her co-host, to give viewers a tell-all. Her response was, “You think that was a tell-all?” She then goes on to explain how the things she said about Bryan were just “setting the scene” and “painting the picture” of how Bryan actually treated her during the relationship.
While Bryan still has not directly responded to any of the claims made by LaPaglia, he announced the release of his new single, “The World’s a Giant,” on his Instagram story a day before the podcast episode aired.
Though Bryan is frequently posting on his Instagram story, he has yet to address LaPaglia and the claims made against him.
