Jordan Peele busts out another imaginative horror flick. “Us” is both fascinating and fun. This movie twists the idea of doppelgängers into something quite brilliant.

But, there are some issues with the film. For one thing, the film is slow in certain places, which doesn’t help the tone.

However, this is overshadowed by the movie’s biggest problem: Many elements in this film are confusing, which wouldn’t be too big of a problem if the movie didn’t attempt to explain itself. But it does, which only makes those certain elements more perplexing.

Despite these problems, “Us” is still an enjoyable watch. It has interesting ideas, Peele’s direction is terrific, and Lupita Nyong’o is solid as the lead role. I give it an 8/10 rating.
